| Treaty for an Alliance of American States
![5x5 Page Background GIF Image](../Images/5x5_Page_Background.gif) This document was first completed on Sunday, December 25, 1993.
![5x5 Page Background GIF Image](../Images/5x5_Page_Background.gif) One day when I was criticizing the Constitution for the United States
of America, my father asserted that nobody alive today could write a
better one. I told him that I could. He didn't think so.
I started to write a better constitution but, eventually, I wrote this treaty
instead. The idea is that a constitution defines a nation. A
treaty is an agreement between nations. The American states ought not
to form a single nation. They ought to be independent nations themselves.
That's why I wrote a treaty instead of a constitution. It's still a
better document than the Constitution for the United States of America.
